So the last two weeks I've been getting skunked when I've headed out to some local watering holes. Jacobs Pond sprayed chemicals and there isn't a fish in sight, furnace pond was a skunk, and Island Grove had a fishing derby earlier in the day so the lunkers were well fed.

Yesterday after work I had a nice overcast day and a few hours to kill before the wife got home. I went to my secret honey hole to catch some Bass. It's pretty much a sure thing there if you don't catch bass there your doing something wrong.

Started out with a watermelon colored senko rigged wacky style, caught 3-4 little guy Bass within the first half hour. The next couple Bass were a little bit bigger around 14oz.

After those little Bass ate up my last 2 senkos, I went to the zoom horny toad ( only my second time using these, also bought a 6'6" medium action rod to go "frogging"). That's when I really busted my slump, casting at the edge of the tall grass line and caught a 2lber and (2) 3-3.5 lbers

So I recently joined MA Fish Finder and saw Jacobs pond was close to me yet i never heard of it. So I decided to give it a shot. They installed 2 gorgeous floating docks which were great to fish off of. I arrived a little late, around 1030am. Good day all in all, the weeds were starting to grow in so I decided to use a silver and black top water popper. The pickerel were loving it. In two hours caught 3 small pickerel and one 9". I also hooked a small largemouth. All was good until 6-8 young teenage boys showed up to catch sunfish with beef jerky and bacon so 8 different lines, hooks rods etc the fish seemed to disappear I wonder why haha
