Sunday Fishing

Went fishing this past sunday.Got out on the water by 7:35am.Started out on a favorite pond in New Hampshire.
Bite was slow,my friend and i caught about 11 bass between us.Biggest was 2lbs8oz.Using mostly whacky rig
senkos and shaky head worms.Decided to move to another
place in New Hampshire and arrived there about 12:35pm.
Place is known to have mostly small mouths but does produce some largies too.My firend and i have a little competition when we fish.$1.00 for the biggest fish for the day.He had the biggest so far with the 2lb8oz largie.Smallies were biting as soon as we started to fish.
Mostly small ones in the 1lb range.Using whacky rig senkos to start, green pumpkin magic. My friend was using the baby bass color. He hooked into a nice smallie
that was definitely bigger than the 2lb8oz largie.Unfortunately :),he lost it at the boat.Time was winding down for us to head home.I switched to a jig head with a finesse worm.Threw into a clump of rocks. When i went to tighten up the slack i thought i was hooked on a rock.Next thing i know my line takes off from the rocks and it feels like a nice fish on.Drag is pulling and the fight is on.Using 8lb test line so it is a good thing i had my drag set right. After a bit i pull the lunker into the
boat.To my surprise it was a 4lb 13oz large mouth.I forgot my camera so no pics :(.Its good to know that in this predominantly small mouth lake that there are some nice largies.I did end up with the big fish of the day and $1.00.
