Willand Pond Fishing Report

Bellamy Res.

Large body of water with plenty of shallows in the warmer months, to shallow in many places, but fantastic as the water deepens for Bass, Crappies, and Blue Gills. The open water is full of perch that will bite a bare gold hook if you find a school that is feeding. My son JD and I went out the year before last and the flags were flying. He had a massive Bass in the hole when it twisted off. I had a nice Pickerel that posed for a picture before I let it go. There were some Perch. Them and the wind flags kept us warm all day. I lost all of my ice fishing gear when I lost my house, but it has been nagging at me so I slowly, with Judie's OK, started bring gear in. I even got an Ice Tent for her comfort. Please Mother Nature, make it a very cold, light snow winter.
